These pieces are dusted with powdered glass. Water is added to the powder and "painted" on the glass. It is not as easy as it sounds, It's a lot like sand and water. The powder can also be manipulated with various tools to "create" the picture. It goes through a process of layering and firing until desired outcome. The final firing has layered colored crushed glass called frit. It is fired again either to full fuse or tack fuse..
